Calm dogs in the real world

Practical training for Sarjapur Road dogs and the families who live with them.

Contact Me

Bringing a pet home is an emotional and financial responsibility; a commitment of 10-15 years.

To address commonly faced issues and anxieties of pet-parenting, I help pet-parents/ families with pets to understand the fundamentals of canine behaviour, developmental stages of a dog (from puppyhood to adolescence to adulthood), their health and nutritional requirements and, hygiene.

I train dogs to behave where it matters: on busy streets, in apartment lifts, and around visitors, not just in thier house.

My standard is simple. A typical outcome: a dog that used to lunge at scooters walks past them on a loose leash, with the owner holding the lead.

I only take assignments after assessing the current situation and scope of work. After assessing the situation, if I don't think I can get you there, I will say so before you pay.

Whether you have a dog or have adopted a puppy recently, or are planning to do so soon, you can consult me.

The method

  1. 01

    Foundations built at home

I start where your dog lives. Clear markers, calm routines and a few rules everyone in the house follows. Most problems shrink once the basics are consistent.

  2. 02

Proof it in the real world

A sit in the living room means little. I take the work to streets, parks and cafés, adding traffic, people and other dogs step by step until it holds.

  3. 03

    Hand it over to you

Training only lasts if you can run it. I coach you until you can handle your dog without me, and I check in to keep it on track.

Who this is for

  • You will practise 15 to 20 minutes everyday, after I leave
  • You want a dog that behaves in public, not just at home
  • You are open to honest feedback about your own handling
  • You see training as a long-term commitment
  • You want a well-behaved dog, not a dog that does tricks
  • You are present in all training sessions and have your skin in the game
  • You have patience and want to be a loving leader of your dog

This is not a good fit if...

  • you want me to "fix" the dog without changing anything at home
  • you expect results in a single session
  • you won't use a leash in public
  • you're looking for the cheapest option in the city
  • you are absent in the training sessions or do not actively participate
  • you do not understand that each dog is different and will have different learning curve
